Tour Itinerary

Full Day

Puno – Uros Floating Islands – Taquile Island – Puno

We will start our Tour of Lake Titicaca around 7:15 A.M. with a hotel pickup in Puno. The ride to the main boat pier will give us a chance to enjoy the fresh morning air and the first views of the Andes. Once on the boat, we will cruise across the highest navigable lake in the world at 3,812 meters above sea level. The sparkling waters and distant peaks will make every photo perfect.

Our first stop will be the Uros Floating Islands. Local families will greet us and show how they build homes and islands from totora reeds. We will walk on the soft reeds, visit their houses, and learn about pre-Inca traditions still alive today. Photography lovers will love capturing reflections on the calm lake. Optional reed boat rides cost 10 Soles per person and help support the community.

After Uros, we will take a 2.5-hour boat ride to Taquile Island Peru. Sitting at 3,950 meters above sea level, the island offers amazing lake views. We will hike about 8.2 kilometers to the main plaza, spotting locals in traditional clothing along the way. Our guide will explain how men and women keep their weaving and knitting traditions alive, a practice recognized by UNESCO.

At the top, the main plaza gives us wide views of the lake and hills. We will see workshops where men knit clothing and women prepare yarn for weaving. Our guide will share stories about Taquile’s history and pre-Inca roots. Every step will make us feel part of the island’s daily life and culture.

Lunch will be at a local restaurant with lake views. After eating, we will hop back on the boat and head to Puno. The ride back gives us more chances to enjoy the scenery, spot birds, and take photos. We will talk, relax, and soak in everything we experienced on both islands.

We will reach Puno around 4:30 P.M., and our guide will drop us at our hotel. This full-day tour mixes culture, history, and nature perfectly. From floating islands to hilltop villages, every moment will leave us with amazing memories of Lake Titicaca.
