Tour Itinerary

Half Day

Lake Titicaca Half Day

We’ll start the day by picking you up from your Puno hotel around 9:00 A.M. The morning air feels crisp as we drive to the boat pier. Boarding our motorized boat, we’ll begin a scenic journey across Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world at 3,810 meters above sea level. The calm lake and towering Andes make for a super relaxing and beautiful adventure.

Our first stop is the Uros Floating Islands, about 25 minutes from Puno. Stepping onto the soft totora reeds, we will notice the ingenuity of these unique islands. The Uros people greet us warmly and show how they build and maintain homes, boats, and islands. Exploring the central areas, we’ll see solar panels and radio stations, showcasing their blend of tradition and modern innovation.

On the islands, we’ll meet local families and experience daily life firsthand. Observing the crafting of reed boats and hearing stories of the islands’ history makes the visit immersive. Photography lovers will have plenty of chances to snap amazing shots of the lake and colorful reed islands. Those interested can choose an optional totora reed boat ride around the islands for a closer look at life on the water.

Next, we’ll explore the main island at leisure. Free time allows for walking, taking photos, or visiting local homes. Locals may invite us to try on traditional clothing for memorable photos. We can also grab some handmade souvenirs and directly support the Uros community.

To finish, we’ll board our motorboat for the return ride to Puno. The afternoon sun reflects golden tones on the lake, creating a serene ending to the tour. Upon arrival at the pier, transfers bring us back to your hotel, leaving unforgettable memories of the reed islands and the local culture.
