Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Puno – Uros Floating Islands – Taquile Island – Puno

We will start the Lake Titicaca and Sillustani 2 Day tour with a hotel pickup at 7:00 A.M. The morning air will feel fresh as we drive to the dock. Our boat will take us across Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world at 3,812 meters above sea level. The sparkling waters and surrounding Andes peaks will give us amazing photo moments.

Our first stop is the Uros Floating Islands, just 30 minutes from Puno. Local families will greet us and show how they build homes, boats, and islands from totora reeds. We will walk on the soft reeds and see daily life up close. Optional totora reed boat rides will let us enjoy the lake from a unique perspective.

Next, we will sail to Taquile Island, famous for its colorful textiles. We will stroll along trails with great views and chat with locals. They will show their weaving skills and tell stories about their traditions. After a tasty traditional lunch, we will boat back to Puno, soaking in the calm high-altitude lake views.

Day 2

Puno – Sillustani – Puno

We will start the second day with a hotel pickup at 2:00 P.M. Then we’ll drive 34 kilometers to Sillustani, an amazing archaeological site by Lake Umayo. The views from 3,840 meters above sea level will impress us. Rolling hills and the peaceful lake make it a perfect afternoon adventure.

At Sillustani, we will check out the famous “chullpas” or burial towers built by the Colla people. Our guide will share cool stories about their history and culture. We will walk around and take photos of the lake and surrounding hills. The site is easy to explore and perfect for a relaxed afternoon.

After our visit, we will return to Puno by late afternoon. This two-day trip will leave us with great memories of floating islands, local communities, and ancient ruins.
